Handles with Alasept do not give bacteria and viruses any chance

Door and furniture handles in medical practices and hospitals are among the most common bacteria carriers. The risk of infection to staff and patients is high. Effective protection has been found with the new product Alasept by the hardware specialist Häfele in Nagold: The coating has an antimicrobial effect. It therefore not only prevents the adherence of bacteria, but also their proliferation. Completely new possibilities are thereby opened, particularly in regard to the prevention of infections caused by MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). In addition, Alasept can also inhibit the spread of viruses - such as HIV and noroviruses - within the hospital environment.

Furniture handles coated with Alasept

Alasept was tested and certified by the independent institute Hohenstein Laboratories GmbH und Co. KG in Bönnigheim according to the international standard ISO 22196 as the first and until now only anti-bacterially coated surface for hardware fittings. The new medical and fitting product is available from July on. Furniture handles and architectural hinges can also be coated with Alasept, in addition to door handle sets.
