32nd foreign subsidiary established: Häfele subsidiary in Vietnam

(8/6/2007 12:00:00 AM) The internationally operating Häfele group for hardware technology and electronic locking systems has established a new subsidiary company in Vietnam. Häfele Vietnam is the company’s 32nd foreign subsidiary, and started to do business in Ho Chi Minh City at the beginning of August. Häfele is expanding its presence in Asia with this new subsidiary and underlining the increasing importance of the Vietnamese market. The managing director of the new subsidiary is Mr. Dominik Fruth.

Häfele has had a sales office in Vietnam since 1998. This was set up and managed from the Singapore branch. Dominik Fruth took over the role of on-site manager in 2003. He knows the Vietnamese market extremely well and has the benefit of an established team with competent and experienced staff. Now that it has its own subsidiary in Vietnam, Häfele is in a good position to expand its market position and acquire a bigger share of the market in this country, which has 80 million inhabitants. During the course of establishing the subsidiary, the Häfele Vietnam team also moved into new offices with a showroom in Ho Chi Minh City, the former Saigon.
Häfele has been extremely successful in Vietnam with both furniture fittings and architectural hardware. Discussions concerning a project order with a value of approximately 2 million US dollars for the "Saigon Pearl" skyscraper project in Ho Chi Minh City were successfully concluded just a few weeks ago.
